A Long Time Ago, In A Mailbox Near You.

George Lucas is managing to coerce the USPS into marketting for him apparently. Postboxes across the US are to be dressed up as Star Wars droid R2-D2 to celebrate 30 years since the release of the sci-fi series’ first outing. Some 400 boxes will get the new look, including outside Hollywood’s Grauman Chinese Theatre, one of first cinemas to screen the film in 1977. I wonder if Lucas will again change his movies digitally to give good old R2-D2 the new look the way he screwed with how Annakin Skywalker looked when he became one with the Force at the end of “Return of the Jedi”?
