Can a Language Accent Be Unlearned?

I remember taking language classes in high school as most of us do, and one thing I remember my teachers saying was that a child needs to learn a language by the age of five or they will never speak it like a native. It appears that one company is testing that theory and doing their best to disprove it. English Language Training – ELT – has developed a sofisticated yeat simple course designed to help business executives learn Business English. They have created a program of one-on-one or small groups training to help participants fine tune their English for comunicating competently in today’s business world.

In the economy of the world today Executives, Managers, and other Professionals are constantly having miscommunications due to limited English language skills. Decisions can suffer when this happens, so that is why ELT and their program is being found to be so critical to the success of corporation both large and small. Would accent reduction help you to advance your career? Do you want to improve your American accent in the most effective way? I really think that if we speak a lot we can approve our accent. There are people that don’t care about that or don’t have the capacity to improve because of lack of …language skills. My boss’s wife is Spanish and even being in Portugal for 8 years now, she mixes up the two languages and even when she tries to speak Portuguese she has the Spanish accent.
