I root for the monster. There, I’ve said it, and if ever there was a movie that sunk an ill-fated monster into my childhood heart other than King Kong, it has to be the Ray Harryhausen flick 20 Million Miles to Earth. It’s one of those 50s sci-fi flicks that proves one again that people suck.

Up From The Depths Reviews: The Deadly Mantis
I suppose the reviewer is spot on in his assessment of this film, but I’m going to reserve the right to still like The Deadly Mantis. It was a film I watched as a child, no doubt, on Chiller Theater hosted by Chilly Billy Cardille. I was a true monster kid growing up the the late 60s and 70s, and Mantis was pretty standard fair on my monster diet. Check out the review below, and the go find this film if you haven’t seen it.
